Lemon Butter Fish Fillet

Light, flaky, and full of fresh lemon flavor — this is an easy weeknight dinner that feels elegant but takes less than 30 minutes!


📝 Ingredients

For the Fish:

  • 4 white fish fillets (such as cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

For the Lemon Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional, but recommended!)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Season the Fish

Pat the fillets dry with paper towels.
Rub with olive oil, then season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2️⃣ Cook the Fish (Pan Method)

Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook fillets for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden and flaky.
Remove from pan and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Lemon Butter Sauce

In the same skillet, melt butter.
Add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in lemon juice and zest.
Let simmer for 1–2 minutes.

4️⃣ Finish

Return fish to the pan and spoon sauce over the top.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley.


🔥 Baking Option

Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, then pour warm lemon butter sauce over before serving.
